Our Take
Alta V2 is a compelling everyday highback booster when the child fits its belt-routing system and can remain properly seated. It combines a relatively narrow stated width with rigid attachment and favorable independent test coverage. We would choose it for regular use rather than maximum travel flexibility, because the back does not detach. The current model’s 100 lb and 57-inch limits also matter: do not import the larger limits used by some competing premium boosters.
What we like
- SecureFit lap-belt positioner
- Rigid anchor attachment
- Adjustable highback
Worth knowing
- No backless conversion.
- Current US capacity is 100 lb, not 120 lb.
