Our Take
BubbleBum is useful when the alternative is leaving a booster behind because it is too bulky. For an already booster-ready child, the compact inflated cushion can make taxis and carpool changes more manageable. We would practice both lap-belt clips and the shoulder-belt positioner before the first trip, and check inflation each time. It is a travel tool rather than an automatic replacement for a comfortable everyday highback. Published limits vary by version, so the exact supplied manual must stay with the seat.
What we like
- Deflates for compact packing
- Very light travel format
- Portable for occasional rides
Worth knowing
- Must be used inflated and correctly routed through both lap-belt clips.
- Retailer 110 lb claims differ from the current brand page’s 100 lb figure.
