Our Take
Topside is a simple spare for an older booster-ready child when low weight and cost matter. We would choose it only after checking the unusual belt-routing instructions on the exact unit and verifying the child’s fit in the vehicle. It offers little structure beyond the seat cushion and armrests, so adequate vehicle head support is essential. It is useful for occasional pickups, but comfort on a longer journey is something to try rather than infer from the extra-plush description.
What we like
- Very light backless design
- Low purchase price
- Easy to move between cars
Worth knowing
- No lower-anchor attachment.
- Follow its specific belt routing rather than assume another booster’s armrest routing applies.
