Our Take
Current Finale DX is a budget option for a larger harnessed child, not a small-toddler seat. Its 40 lb and 43.4-inch minimums materially change the audience compared with older Finale reviews. We would check the harness position and actual booster belt fit before assuming its two stages will cover the next several years. A light shell is useful for occasional moves, but the short 52-inch booster ceiling can bring a dedicated booster purchase sooner than the name suggests.
What we like
- Light combination-seat layout
- Accessible price
- Simple washable fabric
Worth knowing
- Current minimums are much higher than older Finale versions.
- Booster height ceiling is 52 inches.
