Our Take
Hybrid SI offers a budget-minded combination-seat layout, but the distinct height ranges are more important than the headline 100 lb maximum. The harness stops at 50 lb, and the highback stage has a relatively short 50-inch ceiling. We would compare how comfortably the child fits each current stage rather than assume the three configurations guarantee long use. Earlier Hybrid reviews and recalls concern specified older versions; they should be visible as context without being automatically assigned to this SI model.
What we like
- Three forward-facing configurations
- Removable backrest
- Current SI side-impact-protection revision
Worth knowing
- Harness ends at 50 lb.
- Highback booster’s 50-inch ceiling can shorten that stage.
