Our Take
Trooper Slim is a practical lightweight candidate for a family needing a conventional convertible in a constrained rear row. Its three advertised modes are two rear-facing stages and one forward-facing harness stage; it does not become a booster. We would check the exact SI revision and complete the required harness setup before travel, since its basic adjustments can take more effort. A three-across marketing claim still needs a real vehicle trial with every restraint independently installed.
What we like
- Relatively light convertible
- Narrow stated width
- Current side-impact-protection revision
Worth knowing
- No booster mode despite “3-in-1” wording.
- Harness adjustment and newborn setup are more involved than on some alternatives.
